  • Aujourd'hui, nous allons à l'école de Manuel.

    Today, we are going to Manuel's school.

  • Nous prenons la première rue à gauche, puis nous allons tout droit et nous tournons à droite et voilà! Nous sommes devant l'école.
    (noo pruh-nawn lah prem-yair roo ah gohsh, pwee noo zah-lohn too dwah eh noo toor-non ah drwaht eh vwah-lah! noo sohm duh-vawn lay-cohl)
    We take the first street on the left, then we go straight ahead and turn right and here we are! We are in front of the school.

  • C'est une grande école. Elle a un rez-de-chaussée et deux étages.
    (say ewn grahnd ay-cohl. ell ah uhn ray-duh-show-say eh duh zay-tahzh)
    It is a big school. It has a ground floor and two stories.

  • Le terrain de sport est derrière l'école.
    (luh ter-rahn duh spor ay der-yair lay-cohl)
    The sports field is behind the school.

  • La salle de classe de Manuel est au deuxième étage.
    (lah sahl duh class duh Mah-noo-ell ay oh duh-zee-em ay-tahzh)
    Manuel's classroom is on the second floor.

  • Dans la classe, il y a des tables, des chaises pour les élèves, un bureau, une chaise pour le professeur et un tableau noir.
    (dahn lah class, eel ee ah day tahbl, day shayz poor lay zay-lehv, uhn byoo-roh, ewn shayz poor luh proh-feh-sur ay uhn tah-blow nwahr)
    In the classroom, there are tables, chairs for the students, a desk, a chair for the teacher, and a blackboard.

  • Il y a aussi une carte de la France contre le mur.

    There is also a map of France against the wall.

Les prépositions (Prepositions)

  • Les prépositions sont utilisées en anglais et en français pour lier les mots et montrer la relation entre les autres mots dans une phrase.
    (lay pray-poh-zee-syon son oo-tee-lee-zay ahn ahn-glay ay ahn frahn-say poor lee-ay lay moe ay mon-tray lah ray-la-syon ahn-truh layz oh-truh moe dahn oon frahz)
    Prepositions are used in English and French to connect words and to show the relationship between other words in a sentence.

  • Elles sont utilisées avant un nom ou un pronom.
    (ell son oo-tee-lee-zay ah-vahn uhn nohm oo uhn proh-nohm)
    They are used before a noun or a pronoun.

Troisième groupe de verbes (Third group of verbs)

  • Regular verbs and irregular verbs are put together in the third group of verbs.
    Regular 're' verbs:
    In these verbs, the 're' ending of the infinitive is removed and endings -s, -s, -, -ons, -ez, -ent are added to the radical. Nothing is added to the radical in the third person singular form.
    Note: Not all verbs ending in -re follow the same pattern of conjugation.

    • 2nd - deuxième - second
    • 3rd - troisième - third
    • 4th - quatrième - fourth
    • 5th - cinquième - fifth
    • 6th - sixième - sixth
    • 7th - septième - seventh
    • 8th - huitième - eighth
    • 9th - neuvième - ninth
    • 10th - dixième - tenth

Note: For cardinal numbers ending in "e", remove the "e" before adding "ième".
